The feeder program is a competitive program that is designed to develop players to be ready for high school basketball. Practices will be held 2-3 times during the week at Johnsburg Jr High.
Game playing time is not equal. It will be based on ability and commitment. We do encourage our coaches to be fair when distrbuting playing time.
WE ARE NOT PLANNING ON HAVING ANY CUTS. HOWEVER IF MORE THAN 12 PLAYERS REGISTER PER GRADE WE WILL CONSIDER HAVING TRYOUTS OR MULTIPLE TEAMS.
Games will be played mostly every Saturday & Sunday with a few games being played on Friday nights. We will play approximately 25 games total. Game schedule will be updated on the website as games are confirmed.
Practices for 5th graders will start the last week of November. 6th grade through 8th grade will start after the school season ends the week of December 18th.
Games will start on January 4th, 2025 and end on March 9th, 2025.
Every weekend from January 4th through March 9th there will be games or tournaments. There will be a couple of days off, but rarely an entire weekend.
The cost of the program will be $300. This money goes towards referees, insurance, tournament entries, website, and league dues. I apologize for the increase, however ref/tourney fees have increased.
If your child needs a uniform there will be an additional $60 charge ($30 for top, $30 for shorts). All 5th graders and any new players to the program will need to buy new uniforms.
The Johnsburg Boys’ Feeder Basketball program is a non-profit organization.
